When Black Sabbath announced their reformation earlier this year, everyone but the surliest and most mean-spirited music fans was over the moon. Everyone loves Black Sabbath. Even Santa Clause loves Black Sabbath. That’s why he wrote and performed a parody song of ‘Iron Man’ - with the forgivably-unimaginative title of ‘I Am Santa Claus’.

Season’s Bleedings 2011: Black Spiders – Pete...
It’s been a good year for Black Spiders. They released their debut album, Sons Of The North, played a lot of festivals, toured in China and just came back from supporting Monster Magnet in Europe in time to send us a Christmas card. Busy boys. We caught up with frontman Pete Spiby to see how festive he’s feeling.

Season’s Bleedings 2011: In Solitude – Pelle Åhman...
We were half-tempted to push Pelle Åhman from In Solitude as to why he kept answering our Christmas questions with the somewhat ominous threats of “coming closer”, but we figured it was probably safer in the long run not to poke the bollocks a man with a dead birds fetish and fantasies about setting God on fire. Click here to read our Christmas interview with Pelle Åhman from In Solitude.

Season’s Bleedings 2011: Anterior on Jägermeister,...
A statistically interesting number of Anterior’s answers to our Christmas questionnaire revolve around either a) Jägermeister, or B) large hairy men shouting. To be honest, we shouldn’t be surprised that young, up-and-coming British metal bands are preoccupied with booze and men shouting.  Click here to read our Christmas interview with Anterior.

Brooklyn quintet, I Am The Avalanche were over last week, pimping their second album, Avalanche United. It had been five years since former Movielife man, Vinnie Caruana had made it over to these shores so we popped down to catch some punk rock goodness.
